'09 Mammoth Trip

Alright so this thread is for all info related to the Mammoth Trip. Dates, price, etc. (UPDATED May 21)

DATE:August 7-9

Total Price Tag: $180?$100-120 with two days of riding at Mammoth. Less if we only do one day. This includes food, lodging, gas, and lift tickets.
Break Down per Person
Lodging : To do it on the cheap we are looking into camping so an estimated cost of $20 (This will surely be less). *Update* Reily as talked to his aunt about getting into staff housing so we maybe able to do that, but it will most likely be more expensive.

Gas : I did just a rough estimate of $30

Food : This can vary a lot, but if everything is done on the cheap $15-20 a day is plenty. Total of $45-60

Lift Tickets : A two day pass costs $69. Reily may once again be able to work us in a discount.

The Plan
So the plan is to make this a 3 day trip. Drive up Friday, bike Saturday and Sunday, and then drive home Sunday night. This should hopefully be able to work around anyone's schedule who is taking summer school or getting a summer job.

Coaches Dale and Carol are up for the Mammoth trip but we need to get the dates. We are hoping to camp at Rock Creek (just outside Mammoth) this summer, and Lower Rock Creek is Dale's all-time favorite trail for up there. It's almost all single track, mostly downhill except a few small climbs, some technical rock and stream crossings and very beautiful. It's free, but requires a shuttle or a longish ride back up the hill on the highway. Carol can shuttle Dale + 3 more. We also have a friend with a condo in Snow Creek on Meridian but need to reserve. SO what date is going to work?

The plan is to have a meeting this wed. to try and pick a date for this trip.

Updated with eliminating gas and campsite fees as we will use club funds to pay those.

The Mammoth trip will be on the weekend of August 7th. So far I have 7 confirmations, so email me by monday if you want to stay in the staff housing.
